OK YOU SEE I HAVE A REAL PROBLEM HERE.MEANING I HAVE A NEICE THAT IS REALLY INTO ACTING.SHE IS ONLY THIRTEEN YEARS OLD OKAY.AND SHE LIVES IN NEW YORK CITY.YOU SEE SHE ASKED ME LIKE WHERE SHE COULD START OUT.AND ME I HAVE NO IDEA WHEN IT COMES TO THINGS LIKE THIS.LOL!SO I WAS WONDERING IF YOU GUYS HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS.LIKE TALENT AGENCIES?OH YEAH,DID YOU EVER HEAR OF THE NUSTARS TALENT DISCOVERY NETWORK?OR THE JOHN ROBERT POWERS AGENCY?OR EVEN THE TVI ACTING SCHOOL THAT IS IN TIMES SQUARE?IF SO I WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE IT IF YOU GUYS CAN TELL ME SOME INFORMATION.I WAS ALSO WONDERING IF YOU CAN GET AN AGENT THROUGH THE YELLOW PAGES AND WHAT IS REQUIRED.THANKS SO MUCH YOU GUYS!Can you guys please help me on giving some advice to my neice please?Because I am totallu clueless.?
My personal opinion is do NOT take her to John Robert Powers Agency. They are probably the worst agency I have seen my nephew went to them and it has been terrible. I would try Nustars. It is a better agency and the kids are given more opportunities. I can't give you much more information then that. I hope that at least helps a littleCan you guys please help me on giving some advice to my neice please?Because I am totallu clueless.?
JRP is the biggest scammer of his kind in the United States. (I'm not joking.) TVI charges a fortune for what you can get elsewhere for a lot less. Haven't heard of Nustars but they are probably cut from the same cloth. Send her to a legit acting school and the instructors there should be able to steer her towards more legit places.
She's 13 year and can't leglly sign a contract with a Talent Agency.

If the school she attends has a drama department she should join it next semester.

She needs to concentrate on performing at school and not try to find a talent agent until she's older. Tell her not to rush, the acting industry will always be around.

Tell her parents to stay away from John Robert Powers.

Her parents can call Abrams Artists Talent Agency in New York City (they can call directory assistance for the phone number.) They have a department that represents kids.
Tell her to get into a good performing arts school first. She'll find out that kind of information there.
