Please advice. 10 points for the best advice. Thank you?

I am 22 year old. I am from Thailand. I have been studying BA and MPA in the United States. I will have Master Degree in Public Administration (HR management) in May 2008.

I am currenty applying for jobs in the United Nations. There are a few position open in my home country (Thailand) like Sttaf Assistant G5, and Admistrative Assistant G6.

I am only 22, but I am over qualified for those jobs in Education, but not in experiences. Should I apply for those jobs just to get into the UN? Will I get ahead starting as the Administrative Assistant position? To what extent does I will get ahead? Should I wait for better positions?

Please advice. Thank you very much for your kindness. Please advice. 10 points for the best advice. Thank you?
Applying for governement jobs is very hard. They have strict guidleines when making their selections. You may have the education but lack experience or vice versa. However, keep applying. If you have to start off low then work your way up then do it. Once you get in a government job, you can easily get promoted and work your way up. The hardest thing is getting your foot in the door. The benefits are excellent. Please advice. 10 points for the best advice. Thank you?
Getting any job that you want is a step up from unemployment. Get your foot in the door and then get promoted; is my advice
Sometimes it is a good idea to volunteer in an area that you really would love to work .. It will help you decide if you actually do like it. Also you will be proving how motivated you are to others as well as your self. It is important that you find a job that you will be happy in and enjoy all aspects of it .Money is only one factor.

good luck
Apply for them and see what you are offered... It is better than being unemployed or working somewhere that you don't want to work.
