Professional outfit. 10 points for the best advice. Thank you?

I was picked to be a ';Hero'; for Graduate Program at my university. The university wants to take my pictures for their brochure (I also want to attachment the brochure on my resume).

I have couple silk outfits, but I think it is too much for the brochure. Therefore, I want to wear black top, blackpencil skirt, black shoes and a beautiful white/orenge jacket. What do you think of the outfit?

Should I wear the silk outfits? Any sugegestion? I normally don't wear make up or do my hair. Any suggestion?

Thank you very much for your kindness. I am very excited about the whole project.Professional outfit. 10 points for the best advice. Thank you?
First I wish to say congratulations, you never mentioned what colour the silk outfits are (I'm just being nosey).

You should wear a little light makeup foundation will give a smooth clear tint to your skin, a little blusher can bring your face to life, mascara and a little eye shadow and lipstick also look good on photographs. If you like your hair wild keep it like that as its part of your personality but makesure its clean.

You should wear what you feel most comfortable in I'm sure you know what will be really appropriate and what will look good on your resume for future use. I think the skirt and jacket sounds nice but the picture may only be head and shoulders so the skirt and shoes may not be seen.Professional outfit. 10 points for the best advice. Thank you?
personally, I would go with the black skirt and if you have a black jacket, I would wear that with a bright colored shirt.

For makeup since you don't usually wear it, I would go with something light. Put on foundation, a little blush, lip gloss, an eyeshadow that blends with the colors in the shirt and some mascara.

Good Luck, I hope this helps!
Think about what your best colors are, and which outfit is most flattering. I think that color is more important than the type of fabric. It might also help if you know where the picture will be taken. Will you be indoors or out? Do you have any idea as to what the background will be? You want to wear something which will contrast nicely. Of course, remember to smile. :) Congratulations!
Ditch the old outfits,,,go for something old fashioned,,,plus hairdo,,,the fashion is coming back,,,,,Good Luck,,,,
I would go with the skirt and jacket idea and a touch of light makeup, a little mascara, a lip gloss or balm, maybe some blusher, depending on the tone of your skin.

I would leave your hair natural if you don't normally style it as it'll be something else to be self concious of. Just clean and shiny.

Good luck, you'll dazzle em.
Well, i would go with the black top, skirt...if you're having second thoughts about the silk outfits.

If you don't usually wear makeup, than just wear some foundation, concealer(if you need to), blush for a little bit of a glow, and a light colored lipstick(nude, pink)

For you hair, just do something simple like a side pony:

or

pull it back in a regular pony tail:

or

just leave it the way it is and just brush it a few times. It also depends on what angle they're taking the picture from. If they are going straight on, than cut the pony tail(regular) idea, because you don't want to look like you don't have any hair!

Good luck!!
What are you majoring in? (This could give us a clue as to what you should wear - seriously)
